Get Rid of Your “Man Boobs” Before the End of the Year!

3 Minute Read:

Gynecomastia, enlarged male breasts caused by excess tissue and fat, can be one of the most embarrassing physical conditions that males (from adolescent boys to adult men) struggle with.

Instead of a sculpted chest, like we see in our favorite celebrities, men with gynecomastia present with the appearance of “man boobs.” And what makes this condition even more frustrating is that it is usually caused by a hormonal imbalance, meaning that you can’t exercise or diet this issue away.

While adolescent boys tend to develop enlarged breasts as they go through puberty, their hormone levels often get back in balance and their body takes care of the excess on its own. But for some men, the problem persists, causing them to feel self-conscious about their lack of a toned, masculine appearance.

Gynecomastia surgery is one of the most effective cosmetic surgeries available to men, and after undergoing male breast reduction, most men discover that they have more confidence in and comfort with their bodies.

How Is Gynecomastia Surgery Done?

Gynecomastia surgery is a rather simple and straightforward procedure.

During your gynecomastia consultation, one of our board-certified cosmetic surgeons will examine your condition and determine whether your gynecomastia is caused by excess fatty tissue or whether you have excess skin and breast tissue that needs to be removed, as well. This diagnosis will determine the surgical techniques used during your operation.

Either intravenous sedation (IV sedation) or general anesthesia will be used to ensure that you don’t feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure.

After the anesthesia has been administered, liposuction surgery will be used to remove any fatty tissue in the breasts. If this is the extent of your gynecomastia, then your procedure will be done after the liposuction. However, if you suffer from excess breast tissue and/or skin, then your cosmetic surgeon will remove the tissue and skin by surgical excision.

Once the incisions are closed, you can begin your recovery with the knowledge that you no longer have those troublesome male breasts.

Why Should I Get Gynecomastia Surgery Now?

If you suffer from gynecomastia, then you know the constant frustration: feeling embarrassed at the beach or pool, feeling self-conscious in intimate moments, struggling to find shirts that hide your breast appearance.

So, why suffer any longer than you already have?

Gynecomastia surgery can help give you the slimmer, more contoured appearance that you’ve always wanted.

Instead of having feminine-looking breasts, you can feel proud to have a more sculpted chest. Instead of hiding your body away, you can now feel comfortable showing off your results, which can help you feel more self-confident overall.

However, it’s important to understand that it can take anywhere from three to six months for your results to become final.

During that time, you will experience some bruising, soreness, and swelling. Additionally, for a portion of that time, you will not be able to engage in strenuous activity, like weightlifting.

This means that you should think about undergoing gynecomastia surgery now if you want to finish 2022 and start 2023 with the more toned and manly appearance you desire.
