Laser Skin Treatments in Westchester, New York

Turning back the clock on years of skin damage can be easier than you think. The aging process, sun exposure, and acne can cause blemishes, wrinkles, and discoloration, robbing your skin of that youthful, vibrant glow it once had. This can have devastating effects on your self-confidence and cause you unnecessary suffering. However, having Halo laser therapy with Dr. Karlinsky at Westchester Surgical Arts can quickly and safely reverse the undesirable signs of older age and restore a more youthful and luminous look to your skin.

What is Halo?

Halo is a non-invasive laser treatment that revitalizes and restores your skin. The dual laser technology uses two laser wavelengths to synergistically repair and rejuvenate your skin. One laser targets the top layer (epidermis) of your skin to reduce pigment and restore a radiant glow. The second laser targets the deeper layer (dermis), reversing years of damage. Halo works by activating your own healing process, causing your body to naturally refresh the treated areas.

Why choose Halo?

Halo can be applied to address several cosmetic issues, including:

  • Sun damage
  • Sunspots
  • Wrinkles
  • Scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Pigmentation on the skin

There’s very little discomfort with this non-invasive procedure. Individual results may vary, but most patients experience no downtime and can get back to their lives immediately. There will be a bit of swelling and discoloration after the procedure, but your skin will return to normal after four or five days, and you’ll start to see remarkable results.

How is Halo performed?

Halo laser treatments are performed by Dr. Karlinsky here in our Westchester Surgical Arts offices. For your comfort, a numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment. The Halo handpiece will then be focused over the target area, and the hybrid fractional laser will be delivered into the skin. The procedure typically lasts from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your specific goals. Your body’s own healing action will cause pigment from the damaged skin to peel off in the first few days after the procedure. Halo is a safe and accurate treatment that refreshes and reinvigorates your skin with no recovery time.
